However, many state employees forgo lucrative private sector opportunities in order to do something for the public good.Angelahttp://www.tastybingo.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14963913.post-20027424670715680162010-05-23T06:41:06.398-04:002010-05-23T06:41:06.398-04:00Part of the problem with pensions in NYS is that a...Part of the problem with pensions in NYS is that after 10 years of service, state union employees no longer contribute 3% of their salary to the pension fund. (This policy went into effect maybe 5-6 years ago.) So if I'm lucky enough to still be employed by NYS when I hit 55, I'll have only contributed to my pension for 10 of my 34 years on the job. Armed services personnel. Let's screw them, too, while we're at it.

If people want to point out the irresponsible Ponzi nature of Social Security and public pension funds, fine, but playing on human jealousies during rough economic times is bullshit.Transor Znoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14963913.post-17923770590742190752010-05-22T08:46:35.581-04:002010-05-22T08:46:35.581-04:00Gotta love the first article about the Chinese org...Gotta love the first article about the Chinese orgy guy.
