Barney Frank is coming to my high school this Thursday for a town hall meeting, and I will be up in Boston and able to attend it.
Does anyone have an intelligent question for Barney?

What a cool opportunity! I would ask him what he thinks of HR 1207 and whether or not he thinks it is important for the public to know where the money of the Federal Reserve is going.
Of course if you are feeling really brave maybe ask him what it was like having sweaty man love with an AIG executive.
The public overwhelmingly disapproved of the TARP plan. This plan was also rejected (arguably and to a lesser extent) by a large majority of industry and academic experts. This plan was subsequently approved by Congress, with minor revisions from the original version.
Why?
And why should any of the Representatives or Senators who voted in favor of the TARP plan be re-elected?
good suggestion on TARP, but it's kinda subjective to say that the public overwhelmingly disapproved of TARP. i happen to think that's true, but he could easily dismiss that...
also, i'm sure he'd say we're better off with TARP...
but keep thinking along those lines - believe me, i'm not afraid to ask him a pointed question
How about this travesty? Banks trying to buy their own loans from each other, thanks to FDIC-assisted leverage.

If the banks manage to pull this off, this is their most audacious stunt. Ask Barney if he is aware of this.
yeah Sam - i JUST saw that... i wrote about this a month ago - i could explain to a 5 year old why that idea is ridiculous - i could even explain it to Maxine Waters!
