Omnivore Pups

I never would have guessed that my dogs would like cucumbers so much.  Note how Griffey nearly rips the cucumber out of Mrs. Dynamite's hands:

And it's not just cucumbers - they love peas (in the pod), beans, and most other veggies.

we have a cat who eats out overripe tomatoes, almost all of them will work on getting the juice out of a watermelon or cantaloupe rind, and both the cats & dogs will fight over sweet corn, but that's the first time ive seen a carnivore eat a cuke...

My dog eats blueberries, kale, asparagus, broccoli, apples, cherries, red peppers and just about any fruit and vegetable I can think of. Come to think of it, the only thing he won't eat is ginger.

Our two dogs (a golden retriever and lab/ret mix) will also eat just about anything. We have to keep them (try anyway) from eating all the tomatoes right off the plants and they also steal the blackberries (thornless variety). They graze on grass constantly, and it's not due to gastrointestinal problems; though they do it more eagerly if they're not feeling well.

They won't eat olives, lettuce, spinach, to name the few things that come to mind. And of course there's onions, chocolate, and a few other things that we keep away from them as they're known to be toxic to dogs.

They're quite the omnivores!

I have two jack russels that we've been giving baby carrots to since they were puppies--they love them. The male actually eats corn on the cob like a human if I hold it which is also utterly hilarious if you are looking for cheap amusement--the girl tries to snatch the whole cob.

Ha! Yeah, my lab/ret (the one in my profile picture, btw) will just scarf the whole cob down and come back looking for more!
